Lot-Sizing Procedure: Last Lot can be Planned Exactly
Scope of Functions
Up to now, when you planned a material, depending on the lot-sizing procedure (for example, fixed lot size) and the rounding value/rounding profile, the procurement proposals may have been generated in a quantity larger than the actual quantity required. Under certain circumstances, you procured more than you needed. For parts being discontinued, this lead to remaining stocks with high scrap costs.
Now you can set the lot-sizing procedure to exactly plan the last lot in the total planning horizon. This avoids remaining stocks, and remaining requirements are covered by the last lot.
In reorder point planning and time-phased materials planning, the system ignores the indicator.
